It’s a city that’s best explored on foot. We recommend staying in the Old Town, which is the best place to get the authentic Croatian city experience.

Not far from the centre, consider the districts of Pile and Ploce: they are very lively and allow you to walk to the old town in no time at all.

If you want a hotel by the sea, choose one in Gorica, about one and a half kilometres away from the centre, or in Lapad, a five-minute drive from the centre of Dubrovnik.
