Best hotels and apartments in Brac

Choosing where to stay in Brac will definitely influence your holiday. The island is in fact very large, and you can decide to visit all of it, part of it, or stay in one village and stay there. Either way, in Brac it is impossible not to visit its most famous beach, the beautiful Zlatni Rat, located near the village of Bol, the only one on the sea on the south coast. Bol is also very close to the airport, making it convenient for those arriving in Brac by plane, although scheduled flights only come from Zagreb and a few charters from northern Europe.

Alternatively, you could decide to stay in Sumartin, on the east coast, from where ferries to Makarska depart and arrive. There are plenty of flats here, as well as a few seaside hotels, especially in the surrounding area. The area is quiet and at the same time full of amenities such as supermarkets, petrol stations and banks, making it ideal for those seeking all the comforts. However, Sumartin is rather distant from the rest of the towns and beaches of Brac, and is therefore not recommended for those wishing to visit the whole island.

A good choice for accommodation, however, is the north coast, where Supetar, the island’s main town with over 3,000 residents, is located. Ferries depart and arrive here from Split, so it is well connected to the mainland, and naturally has all the amenities, as well as a beautiful beach. Finally, a few kilometres west of Supetar is Sutivan. It is a quiet town with a nice marina and a beautiful coastline. Here you can stay in complete relaxation, and it is a suitable choice for families with children.
